What an amazing place this is! We could have watched the ferries all day long- but there was so much else to do (whale watching, touring the island, ete.) and of course eating (The Place, Steps, Coho)! We’re off to stay at Lakedale in one of their cozy cabins and if it’s as nice as this (which I’ve heard it is) we will have had a truly memorable anniversary!

“We couldn’t decide which place to come to, so my husband and I spent 2 days at Lakedale Resort and 2 days here at the Ferry Landing Suites. Both places are equally beautiful and sooooo much fun!

At the lodge at Lakedale, we loved watching the birds of all sorts play in the lakes. We also enjoyed the beautiful hikes, filtered sun, and sweet-smelling air.

At Ferry Landing, we loved watching the ferry boats arrive and depart. I don’t know which place truly won my heart, but feel so fortunate to have experienced them both! The beauty of nature and fine people are apparent everywhere on this island and my return can’t come soon enough!”

“What a beautiful place! The pictures online don’t do it justice. We flew in Friday and walked to the Ferry Landing Suites. As we entered our room, we were even more excited than anticipated.

Tomorrow we are renting mopeds and touring the island, then on to a sunset kayak tour - we’re hoping to see some whales.

This was a perfect getaway for sisters! We had perfect weather; the room was like being in our “own” apartment – equipped with everything! We sat each morning on the deck taking in the breathtaking view and watching the ferries come and go. The most fun we had was sipping wine in the evening on the deck, sharing stories and having silly conversations. So much fun! We all look forward to returning someday soon!!!

We rented both the Yakima and Elwha Suites for our family. They were both wonderful with the amenities provided, the VIEW (the best in town) and the spaciousness of the rooms. The staff was wonderful also! The location and views were perfect for the ones who couldn’t get around as much as the “younger crowd.” All the town’s happenings could be seen from one location.
